I support Gary and I think he's remorseful and I think he's right in saying that he has to turn the public opinion around.  I think that people that know him respect him and he'll get through this.  Gary Wettstein

We'll get through this.  Ann Meeter

I just want to keep in perspective that people make mistakes that determine whether we should trust them or not.  It is too soon to tell.  I was very glad to see Tony come out and lend his support.  I think Tony understands Gary well.  He knows him under pressure.  He's seen him in the cauldron and his confidence meant a lot to me.  I still stand behind Gary but I want to see him rise above this.  David Corbett (author)

If it was any other person instead of a mayor he would a got a DUI with a key in the ignition or not.  If the police wasn't there he woulda drove away.  And there was gonna be an accident.  But him running for mayor he gets off with public intoxication.  That ain't cool at all.  Man, that's a slap on the wrist.  That is not cool at all. Man!  To come out here and have a bullshit say I'm sorry? That's not cool.  Nobody accepted that.  How you gonna write a piece of paper "I'm sorry"?  That didn't come from the heart or it didn't come from the soul!!  Kevin McNeal

If Gary has a problem he needs to get that under control.   He cannot let this happen again.  We need to give Gary Cloutier a second chance.  Darrell Edwards  ( businessman and political candidate)

I have a yiddish expression "Bei mir bish du shein" it means "By me you're OK".  Joyce Scharf  ( retired--Mare Island)

Whatever happens we're glad if he's elected mayor and at the end of four years I'm going to take great delight in saying "You did a great job."   Pam Keith  Cloutier Campaign Manager

My thought and opinion is that he asked for forgiveness.  He made an apology.  We wholeheartedly accept it without doubt.  And um as a Christian our values is to forgive people.  When they admit that they are wrong-made some kind of mistake-you know, we don't hold people.  We release them and we accept his apology.  And we pray for him.  Pray for his personal success.  Pray his success period. So that's what I came down to do-is to support him-and whatever else we can do as the faith community.  Pastor Danny Jefferson--Rehobeth World Outreach Center COGIC
